National News

  1. Indian Army and Maharashtra Police organized a joint anti-terror exercise “Suraksha Kavach” in Pune.
  2. Tech Giant Microsoft has partnered with All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) to provide uninterrupted online learning to millions of students across the country and empower learner and educators in new-age technologies.
  3. Digital technology solutions major Cyient has announced its strategic partnership with SPRINT, a UK based business innovation support programme to accelerate innovation in the space sector.
  4. Atal Innovation Mission (AIM), NITI Aayog has signed a Statement of Intent (SOI) with IT company CGI India in order to promote innovation across schools.
  5. The Ministry of Food Processing Industries has decided to extend a subsidy of 50% on the transportation of notified fruits and vegetables through Kisan Rail Trains.
  6. NITI (National Institution for Transforming India) Aayog and United States Agency for International Development (USAID) jointly launched the India Energy Modelling Forum under the US-India Strategic Energy Partnership.
  7. India Metrological Department will launch a dynamic, impact-based cyclone warning system aimed at minimising economic losses and damage to property from cyclones that hit the country’s coasts every year.

Economic Affairs:

  1. According to the Indian Monetary Fund (IMF) India’s Economy is expected to contract 10.3% in the current fiscal year 2020-21.
  2. The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has clarified that loans which have remained standard without any defaults as of March 1, 2020, will be eligible for restructuring under the pandemic-related resolution framework issued in August.
