Dr. Reddy’s Sashakt Scholarship
Sashakt Scholarship is open for 12th passed academically bright girls who want to pursue science studies but come from economically weak backgrounds. The aim of this programme is financially empower rural and economically challenged girls to access the best science education in India and to contribute more female scientists as mentors and achievers to India and the world.

Delhi: Miranda House: Hindu College; St. Stephen’s College; Kirori Mal College; Hansraj College; ARSD; Gargi College.
Bangalore: Christ University; Mount Carmel College; St Joseph’s College; The Oxford College of Science.

Eligibility Criteria Dr. Reddy’s Sashakt Scholarship
To be eligible for Sashakt Scholarship an applicant must fulfill the following criteria:
- Candidate must be a girl student whose nationality is Indian.
- Only students who select pure/natural science courses for their graduation.
- Have a record of academic achievements.
- The scholarship will be given only to students who have confirmed admissions to any of the colleges listed.
Note- : Preference will be given to students with rural backgrounds, economically weak backgrounds and interest in scientific research.
Dr Reddy Sashakt Scholarship Required Documents
The following documents will be necessary during the application process. So it is advised to gather all the documents before starting to apply.
- Certificate of class X is mandatory.
- Mark sheet of class X is optional.
- Report card of class 10+2 is mandatory.
- Certificate of class 10+2 is optional
- Income certificate is mandatory (household income must be less than INR 5 lakhs)
- Disability certificate is mandatory for Physically challenged candidates.
Sashakt Scholarship Rewards and Benefits
The selected fellow will be awarded with the following rewards:
- Scholarship award is INR 2,40,000 (INR 80,000/year) for three years of study, which covers the college tuition fees, study expenses and basic living costs.

- Limited Scholarships are available for the students who will secure in any of the above mentioned enlisted colleges with science courses.
- The scholars are guided through the crucial stages of their education, apart from having a role model for a career in science with the help of a leading women scientist as a mentor.
How to apply for the Sashakt Scholarship
To apply for the scholarship, follow the steps below:
Step 1: Visit the official website of Dr. Reddy’s Sashakt Scholarship and register yourself there.
Step 2: Log in to the account and start an application.
Step 3: Fill the application form correctly with all your details.
Step 4: Then attach required documents with the application form and submit.
Step 4: Select institutions from enlisted colleges/institutions.
Step 5: Submit admission offer from any listed institution
Step 6: Wait for the selection confirmation email.
Note- You need to have a confirmed admission offer in any one of the colleges. Admission slips will need to be submitted.
