Sitaram Jindal Foundation Scholarship 2021
The Jindal scholarship aims to provide financial assistance to deserving meritorious candidates who belong to underprivileged families. Currently, scholarships are being given to more than 12000 students each year. Sitaram Jindal Foundation has been promoting and providing basic needs of the people across various sections of the society in different fields including education, healthcare and rural development without discrimination of caste and creed and religion. At present the Foundation is giving donations to the extent of Rs.1.25 crores per annum to various charitable institutions.

To be eligible for this scholarship, students need to study in class 11, 12, ITI, Diploma, Graduation and Postgraduation. The scholarship covers Polytechnic and Diploma courses in technical education as well.
Sitaram Jindal Foundation Scholarship Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for Sitaram Jindal Scholarship, applicants must fulfill the following criteria:
The scholarship is split into categories depending on the applicants’ academic level.
Sitaram Jindal Foundation Scholarship Category A
Students who have passed 11th or 12th from Govt colleges or govt aided colleges are eligible for this scholarship.
For male candidates, minimum score should be 65% in the previous exam and female applicants must have scored at least 60% marks in the previous examination.
But in case of Karnataka, the minimum marks percentage must be 75% for boys and 70% for girls in the last annual examination.
West Bengal students with minimum 70% marks (for boys) and minimum 65% (for girls) marks are eligible for Sitaram Jindal Scholarship.
The annual earnings of the family (who are employed) must not exceed 4 lakh.
For other applicants, annual family earnings should not be exceeded 2.5 lakhs.
The applicants must not have crossed the age of 30 years.

Sitaram Jindal Foundation Scholarship Category B
Students who are currently pursuing ITI course in Government colleges/institutions or government-aided colleges can apply for this scholarship.
For male applicants, the minimum required marks percentage is 50% and for female applicants, the minimum required marks percentage is 40%.
The annual earnings of the family (who are employed) must not exceed 4 lakh.
For other applicants, annual family earnings should not be exceeded 2.5 lakhs.
The applicants must not have crossed the age of 30 years.
Sitaram Jindal Foundation Scholarship Category C
i) students who are pursuing graduation from a recognised university are eligible for this scholarship under this category. They must study Graduation courses like-
- B.A, B.Com, B.Sc, BFA, BCA, BBA, BBM, Bachelor of Business Economics/Finance, B.Sc(Agriculture). If the student is enrolled in the integrated programmes, then the scholarship can be availed by the student for the first 3 years of the course.
- In the field of Environment like Environment Scientist, Environment Engineer and Environment Journalist.
- Hospitality related courses like Hotel Management, Microbiology, Forensic Science and Social work.
In all of the above mentioned cases, boys must secure at least 55% score and girls must secure at least 50% score in their previous annual examination. In case of Karnataka, the minimum required marks percentage is 65% for boys and the minimum required marks percentage is 60% for girls. West Bengal students with minimum 60% marks (for boys) and minimum 55% (for girls) marks are eligible for Sitaram Jindal Scholarship.
The annual earnings of the family (who are employed) must not exceed 4 lakh.
For other applicants, annual family earnings should not be exceeded 2.5 lakhs.
Sitaram Jindal Foundation Scholarship Age Limit
The applicants must not have crossed the age of 30 years.
ii) Applicants who are pursuing their post graduation course like-
M.A., M.Phil, M.Com, M.Lib (Science), MBA, Master of Business Economics/Finance/ Human Resources Management/ International Business/ M.Sc. / MVSc, M.Sc. (Agriculture), MCA, Organic Agriculture, Solar Energy, Rural/Urban Management.
If the student is enrolled in the integrated programmes, then the scholarship can be availed by the student for the last 2 years of the course.
Male candidates must secure at least 60% score and female candidates must secure at least 55% score in their previous annual examination. In case of Karnataka, the minimum required marks percentage is 65% for male and the minimum required marks percentage is 60% for female.
The annual earnings of the family (who are employed) must not exceed 4 lakh.
For other applicants, annual family earnings should not be exceeded 2.5 lakhs.
The applicants must not have crossed the age of 30 years.

Sitaram Jindal Foundation Scholarship Category D
- Diploma Courses – (all streams)
- Diploma in the field of Environment like : Environment Scientist, Environment Engineer and Environment Journalist.
- Diploma in Nursing, Pharmacy & Physiotherapy.
In order to avail this scholarship, the minimum required marks percentage is 60% (for boys) and the minimum required marks percentage is (55%) for girls in the last annual exam.
The annual earnings of the family (who are employed) must not exceed 4 lakh.
For other applicants, annual family earnings should not be exceeded 2.5 lakhs.
The applicants must not have crossed the age of 30 years.
Sitaram Jindal Foundation Scholarship Category E
Engineering & Medicine Courses
i)Graduate Engineering Courses (all streams) including Architecture
ii)Graduate Medicine Courses including Naturopathy, M.B.B.S, Dental, B.Pharma, Homeopathy and Ayurveda
iii)PG Courses Engineering & Medicine Courses including Homeopathy, Naturopathy, M.Pharma, Surgery.
MDS students are not eligible to avail the scholarship.
Male candidates must secure at least 65% score and female candidates must secure at least 60% score in their previous annual examination. For all states it is applicable.
The annual earnings of the family (who are employed) must not exceed 4 lakh.
For other applicants, annual family earnings should not be exceeded 2.5 lakhs.
The applicants must not have crossed the age of 30 years.
Note- i) In order to be eligible for Sitaram Jindal Scholarship, the minimum required percentage marks for physically disabled students is the pass marks in all categories.
ii) The minimum required percentage marks for the continuation of Jindal scholarship in all categories is relaxed by 5%.
Sitaram Jindal Foundation Scholarship Scheme Rewards

Category A- (Class XI and XII)- the selected students, both boys and girls will receive ₹500 on a monthly basis.
Category B- (ITI Students)- INR 500 per month for Government ITIs and INR 700 per month for private ITIs.
Category C – (Graduate and Post Graduate students)
i) For Graduate courses-
INR 1000 and INR 800 will be given to the selected girls and boys respectively in general category on a monthly basis.
INR 1000 per month for physically challenged students.
INR 1200 per month for widows and unmarried wards of ex-servicemen.
ii) For post graduate courses-
INR 1200 and INR 1000 for boys and girls respectively in general category on a monthly basis.
INR 1200 per month for physically challenged students.
INR 1500 per month for widows and unmarried wards of ex-servicemen.
Category D- (Diploma courses) – INR 1200 per month for girls and INR 1000 per month for boys.
Category E- ( Engineering and Medicine course)
INR 1700 per month for girls pursuing Graduate engineering courses and INR 1,500 per month for boys pursuing Graduate engineering courses.
INR 2,000 per month for girls studying graduate medicine courses and INR 1,800 per month for boys studying graduate medicine courses.
INR 2,500 per month for girls pursuing PG courses in engineering & medicine courses .
INR 2,300 per month for boys pursuing PG courses in engineering & medicine courses.
- For Students studying in hostel–
INR 800 per month will be received as additional amount by hosteller for studying ITI/Diploma, Graduate/PG courses.
INR 1,200 on a monthly basis will be received as additional amount by hosteller to pursue Medical, Engineering courses including PG courses.
Sitaram Jindal Foundation Scholarship Required Documents

Before applying Sitaram Jindal Scholarship form must keep the following required documents:
- Mark sheet photocopy of the last examination.
- Copy of SSLC/HSC scorecard.
- Recommendation letter from Principal or Head of the institution where the applicant is currently studying.
- Income Certificate from BDO, SDO, Gazetted officer, retired IAS, IPS officer etc. Income certificate should not be more than 3 years old on date of the application and its validity should be in force
- Copy of merit certificate (applicable for Medical, Engineering, Diploma and MBA students)
- Copy of certificates regarding fees paid (applicable for Medical, Engineering, Diploma and MBA students)
- Certificate from the hostel warden or owner (for hostellers)
- Certificate of physical disability from the competent authority (if applicable)
- PPO, Relationship dependency certificate and Ex-servicemen widow I-card (for widows and ex-servicemen)
- Declaration about not getting scholarship from Govt / Any other source.

Students can apply application form in both online and offline mode.
Sitaram Jindal Foundation Scholarship Online Process
Visit their official website www.sitaramjindalfoundation.org.
and tab on “what we do” link from the menu. Then go to “Scholarships” and press on the “Apply Online” link and fill the application form with proper details and upload all the documents along with the application form. Finally submit it for Sitaram Jindal Scholarship. Keep the hard copy of filled application form for future reference.
(Currently online application form is not available).
Sitaram Jindal Foundation Scholarship Offline Process
For applying Sitaram Jindal Scholarship 2020 students have to download the application form from the official website of Sitaram Jindal Foundation, www.sitaramjindalfoundation.org.
Then tab on “what we do” link from the menu and download the application form.
After that fill the application form correctly and submit it with above mentioned required documents duly attested by the Principal or authorised professor.

Sitaram Jindal Foundation Scholarship – Key Dates

The eligible students can apply for this scholarship at any time of the current session which means this scholarship is available throughout the year. There is no exact last date of application. However, the candidate can apply for the scholarship only once in the duration of their course.

Sitaram Jindal Foundation seeks cooperation of volunteers like lecturers, retired teachers, government officers and social workers to help poor students. Volunteers should have zeal to serve economically weak students and devote a few hours per week for verifying the scholarships granted by the Foundation to ensure that the scholarship goes to right person.
